Dr. Sanjeevkumar Ramchandra Kalkekar

Dr. Sanjeevkumar Kalkekar is an Interventional Cardiologist based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. He can be consulted at the MGM New Bombay Hospital and Terna Sahyadri Speciality Hospital in Navi Mumbai. He is also attached to Fortis Hiranandani Hospital and Sterling Wockhardt Hospital, in Navi Mumbai. Dr. Kalkekar did his graduate and postgraduate medical studies in Aurangabad, and studied and trained for the Cardiology superspeciality at Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre in Mumbai.  

Dr. Kalkekar is a leading Interventional Cardiologist in Navi Mumbai and is recognised for his expertise in Primary Angioplasty. His areas of specialisation include Radial Angiography and Angioplasty, Femoral Angiography and Angioplasty, Renal Angioplasty, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Device Closure of ASD/PDA, IVC Filter Implantations, Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty and Balloon Aortic Pulmonary Valvuloplasty.

He has extensively trained at the Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre and has performed some 4,000 Interventional procedures in the last four years since 2010.

Dr. Kalkekar has worked on several research studies and has held many teaching posts. He worked as a Clinical Associate at the Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre in Mumbai from January to November 2010 and as a Lecturer in Medicine at Dr. DY Patil Medical College and Hospital, Nerul. He currently teaches students appearing for DM (Cardiology) at the MGM University of Health Sciences. He is also a regular attendee and participant at various conferences and workshops related to his field of expertise.

Dr. Kalkekar also sets time aside from his busy schedule to participate as a speaker at the national as well as international level. As part of his endeavour towards social service, he uses his knowledge to enlighten others through the Patient Education Programme’. He is proficient in English, Hindi and Marathi and spends his leisure time reading, singing and following sports.
